THE WEEK THAT WAS:
Hey guys! Great job with another solid week of training. For those of you going to Memphis, GET READY! Check out the workouts for this week, as there are more recovery days for those of you racing.
For those not racing: Brett emailed about about a sprint triathlon called the tower tri (http://towertrilty.com). If you can get to that, please do: it's a great experience to race and not just practice!!! Otherwise, you can also check out The Graduate School 5K/10K next SUNDAY at 9am. It's $10 and you get breakfast, lunch and a t-shirt! You can get more info here and sign up here.
Keep posting on the FB page about workouts in small packs. Biking has been very good. We should try to get together more for weights and runs if possible: you will be faster/work harder with a little peer pressure ;).
Remember not to lift this week if you're competing in Memphis. We will continue next week. Keep up with abs and lots of stretching!
Linda, our nutritionist, is working on updating her facebook page so make sure to "like it" here. She would really appreciate it, and it only takes one second of your time.
Also, check out the nutrition section for those documents about carbo loading and sweat rate tests! Make your nutrition plan for this week and race day! THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT!!!!
THE WEEK TO BE:
Memphis in May!
1) We're leaving Friday morning at 4:45AM from the parking lot across from Tech. DON'T BE LATE!
2) Remember to give $30 CASH to anyone on exec, preferably Renee or Nikhil, by TUESDAY. No money, no racing.
3) Check out the new Race Information page for details from the email Nikhil sent out.
1) Info on the bike wash was emailed out earlier this week. It is Sunday, May 26 from 9:30-3:00pm. If you haven't already, sign up herefor your shift! We need as many people there as possible, and the more money we raise, the less you have to pay for summer races and nationals!
Scheduled for TUESDAY JUNE 4! Look out for emails regarding this soon!
We've got a tough week ahead of us, so make sure to make plans for double workout days ahead of time!
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
Claire- "Coach Brett, is it true you had a podium finish at this year's Chicago Tri?"
Coach Brett- "No, I left early because it was pouring rain... ;-)."
